It gives me immense pleasure today to unveil the new name of your School born out of the merger between Rouen Business School and Reims Management School: NEOMA Business School.
We have opted for a strong brand name to serve our strategic ambition, but always with the same aim: to give your degree more visibility and recognition, in France and internationally.
By choosing NEOMA Business School, we have opted for a simple name, synonymous with movement, personifying the innovative, human, entrepreneurial dimension of the School. Soft sounding but contemporary, it articulates the launch of a new world.
This name supports the dual aims of the School: to be ranked as one of the best European Business Schools, whilst being recognized as your preferred partner. Easy to understand and pronounce in the major foreign languages, it will also accompany our international development.
The name, in two syllables, is constructed around the two terms [NEO] and [MA].
• [NEO] refers to the idea of that which is new, that which has still to be created or renewed. With the same etymological root as «NEW» and «NUEVO», it calls on us to take up the new challenges of today’s and tomorrow’s managers, with the new dimensions of social responsibility and sustainable responsibility,
• [MA] is a direct reference to management. Ending in A, it gives the name elegance and femininity.
NEOMA Business School is an energetic name, clearly referring to new managerial attitudes. It is in line with our conception of the Business School: rethinking management and proposing new, humanitarian attitudes to better respond to corporate challenges.
To express this new name graphically, we have designed a logo that reflects the duality that characterizes the alliance between Reims and Rouen: 2 schools coming together; 2 major campuses; the link between the academic and professional worlds. The logo is naturally based on the association of two complementary colors: grey and violet, a unique association in the European Business School landscape.
Together with the logo, the slogan «Empowering management» illustrates the School’s ability to train new managers who are equipped to understand and anticipate change, but also to go beyond existing models.
Together with the alumni associations that have supported the project, we count on your commitment to communicate the new brand as widely as possible, both professionally and personally. Together, let’s take up the challenge of making sure NEOMA Business School immediately goes to the top of the rankings!
